Teddington Victorious in first round of the cup!

Teddington Vs Dynamo Kingston

October 14th 2017

We come into this cup tie on the back of 4 bad results, badly needing a win- for a morale boost as well as progressing to the next round of the that we so nearly won last year.

Teddington started off well dominating the play, we quickly got the lead from a Jo hall tap in. we kept the pressure on going for more goals. Dan Hogg scored from a great cross by Jamie Atkinson. we were absolutely cruising. Soon came the goal of the game.  Ben Simons hit an absolute screamer from outside the box into the bottom left hand corner. at this point we were wondering how many we could score! 3-0 up and half time was only seconds away. Against the run of play D. Kingston pulled one back and this made half time a little nervy.

the second half we started on the front foot again dominating and chasing a 4th. all of the pressure that we were exerting on them was taking its toll on our fitness. shortly after that we conceded again. 3-2. we couldn’t throw it away could we?

but to our credit, instead of sitting back and riding it out to take a 3-2 win we pushed on for the fourth. it came from a sweet free kick from Scott O’Donnell.
So that was that! we have won our first game this season and we hope to take this into our home game next week vs MC united.

until next time
